Community Engagement Exchange Program Participants from Sierra Leone & Hungary Conduct Civil Society Practicum with YWCA Utah

  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Apirl 2023  Community Engagement Exchange Program Participants from Sierra Leone & Hungary Conducting Civil Society Practicum with YWCA Utah Adama Finda Borway & Júlia Bakó are partnering with YWCA Utah through the U.S. State Department’s Community Engagement Exchange Program. For twelve weeks, Adama & Júlia, are emerging international young leaders, working at YWCA Utah, collaborating on civil society initiatives and preparing the community engagement project they will undertake upon their return to Sierra Leone & Hungary. During their time with YWCA Utah, Adama and Júlia will help out in prevention education and policy through the programs and initiatives ran by YWCA Utah's community. They are also shadowing different programs and are assisting in hosting workshops.  Adama is a founder and programs coordinator for Youth Empowerment Forum Sierra Leone from Sierra Leone. She has experience working in project implementation, community outreach and campaigns. Adama hopes to advocate for laws that protect women and girls. Júlia is a Interorganizational Relations Coordinator and Project Manager for Patent Association from Hungary.  She has experience working for women’s empowerment organizations with in advocacy and event coordination for trainings, workshops, lectures, and policy forums. The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program is a dynamic global network of innovators working with communities to address critical 21st Century issues. CEE equips dedicated visionaries with the expertise, skills, and resources to develop multi-sector approaches and build healthy and engaged communities in over 100 countries.
